	Resham Mendi, M.D. Medical Director Dr. Resham Mendi is a dedicated expert in medical imaging who takes pride in providing compassionate, personalized care to every patient. A Chicago native, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northwestern University, where she also earned her medical degree. She went on to complete her residency at the University of Illinois and a fellowship in MRI and advanced imaging. Dr. Mendi was honored to be selected as one of only two students from Illinois for the prestigious Presidential Scholars Program. Currently, she specializes in MRI, women’s imaging, and musculoskeletal imaging. Beyond her career, Dr. Mendi finds joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending quality time with her husband and four sons, staying active with her dog, and unwinding through yoga. Whether at work or home, she is committed to bringing care and dedication to everything she does.

	Ramit Mendi, M.D. Medical Director Dr. Mendi is a passionate and dedicated leader in the field of radiology and medical imaging. With years of experience, he has proudly served as the Chairman and Medical Director of several radiology departments across the Chicago area. His deep expertise lies in MRI and breast imaging, areas he is truly passionate about. Dr. Mendi's journey in medicine began at the University of Illinois, where he completed his residency and was honored to serve as chief resident. Eager to deepen his knowledge, he pursued fellowship training in MRI, refining his skills and expertise. His academic journey is marked by outstanding achievements, including graduating Summa Cum Laude and being chosen as a Biophysics Research fellow. Over the years, he has shared his knowledge and insights through several published articles in the field of medical imaging. What truly sets Dr. Mendi apart is his unwavering commitment to his patients. He believes in blending the latest technology with a compassionate and personalized approach, ensuring that every patient receives not only an accurate diagnosis but also the care and attention they deserve.

	Vicky Lin, M.D. Breast Imaging Dr. Vicky Lin is a highly respected breast imaging specialist with a passion for empowering women through early detection and education. A Chicagoland native, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University, earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and completed both her diagnostic radiology residency and breast imaging fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. Lin is thrilled to be part of the Bright Light team, where she is dedicated to advancing early breast cancer detection and providing compassionate care. Having grown up in the area, she feels a deep connection to the community and is committed to making a meaningful impact. She believes strongly in educating women about breast health, striving to give them the knowledge and resources they need to lead vibrant, healthy lives. Outside of work, Dr. Lin enjoys giving back to her community, staying active, and spending quality time with family and friends.

	Veer Shah, M.D. Musculoskeletal Imaging Dr. Veer Shah is a board-certified radiologist specializing in musculoskeletal imaging and orthopedic injuries. He earned his medical degree from the University of Glasgow Medical School and pursued his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the prestigious Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis. He further refined his expertise through a subspecialty fellowship in Diagnostic and Interventional Musculoskeletal Radiology at the same institution. Dr. Shah has contributed to numerous academic publications, and his clinical interests include musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, imaging of bone and soft tissue tumors, and rheumatologic disorders. He is passionate about using cutting-edge imaging techniques to help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life. When he’s not working, Dr. Shah loves to explore new cuisines in the kitchen and is an avid traveler, having lived on three continents. His diverse experiences fuel his curiosity and passion for connecting with people from all walks of life.

	Shaheen Ranjha, D.O. Breast Imaging/Proceduralist Dr. Shaheen Ranjha is a compassionate radiologist with a strong passion for women’s breast health and imaging. She is thrilled to be part of the Bright Light Imaging team, where she combines her expertise with a deep commitment to empathetic, patient-centered care. Dr. Ranjha has a special interest in performing minimally invasive procedures, including breast biopsies, thyroid fine needle aspirations, and arthrograms, ensuring her patients feel comfortable and well-informed throughout their care. Dr. Ranjha earned her medical degree from Des Moines University, completed her intern year at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, and pursued her diagnostic radiology residency at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County. With a compassionate approach and dedication to improving women’s health, Dr. Ranjha is committed to providing the highest level of care and empowering patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.

	Joel Szymanski, DO Musculoskeletal/Body Imaging Dr. Szymanski is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered imaging care with a strong focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients. He pursued his passion for medicine at Central Michigan University, where he studied biomedical sciences before earning his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his diagnostic radiology residency through the Michigan State University Statewide Campus System at McLaren Oakland, followed by a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where he gained specialized expertise in imaging of the musculoskeletal system. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Szymanski enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, and is an avid sports fan who loves cheering on his favorite teams. He is proud to be part of the Bright Light Medical Imaging team and looks forward to serving patients with expertise and compassion.

	Heather Sher, MD Musculoskeletal Imaging Dr. Heather Sher is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with over 20 years of experience and subspecialty expertise in musculoskeletal imaging. She serves as Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology in a high-volume private practice covering multiple hospitals and imaging centers, including trauma facilities. Dr. Sher’s clinical expertise spans MRI, CT, ultrasound, and interventional procedures, and she is recognized for her efficiency and diagnostic accuracy in complex cases. In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in education, research, and national initiatives, including contributions to radiology education and global outreach.

	Jamel Reid, MD Neuro Imaging/Neuroradiology Dr. Jamel Reid is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with subspecialty certification in neuroradiology. He completed his fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and has extensive experience in both neuroradiology and emergency radiology. Dr. Reid has held clinical roles at leading institutions, including the University of Maryland and MedStar Medical Group, where he focuses on acute and complex imaging cases. He has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and presentations and is an active member of major radiology societies, bringing a strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centered imaging care.

	Michael Kushdilian, MD Neuro Imaging/Neuroradiology Dr. Michael Kushdilian is a neuroradiologist with advanced fellowship training from the University of Utah and board certification in diagnostic radiology, along with a Certificate of Added Qualification in neuroradiology. He currently specializes in neuroimaging. Dr. Kushdilian completed his residency at Indiana University and has received multiple honors, including a Resident Teacher Award. He has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and research in neuroimaging and is known for his strong clinical skills and academic involvement.
